INDITEX Nordics (ZARA, Massimo Dutti, ZARA Home, Bershka and Pull&Bear) is seeking a talented Legal Counsel to our Nordic team based in Stockholm for a maternity cover. As a key player within our legal department, you will provide strategic legal advice supporting our fashion retail business across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.

About the role

You will have a crucial role in managing and advising on a wide range of legal matters in the Nordic countries, with a particular focus on lease negotiations and lease contracts. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across the organization, including our headquarter in Spain, providing strategic legal advice while ensuring the company´s objectives.

This is a role where your voice matters – you will have the opportunity to influence and impact business decisions and the internal legal framework for the future. You will be entrusted with the responsibility to provide proactive legal advice, structure and negotiate agreements, and help the business navigate complex legal issues in a dynamic environment, all while developing your professional skills and gaining deep insight into the industry and business operations.

The role is located in our Stockholm office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage lease negotiations and drafting of lease agreements for commercial properties in the Nordics.
• Provide day-to-day legal support and counsel on various legal issues, with an emphasis on leases, corporate law and commercial contracts.
• Coordination of GDPR projects.
• Work closely with senior management and other departments to develop and implement legal strategies that align with the business goals.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations and proactively manage legal risks.
• Offer practical, business-focused legal solutions and be a trusted advisor to internal teams.

Qualifications

In addition to holding a law degree from one of the Nordic countries, the ideal candidate will have about 3 – 5 years of experience, either in a law firm or as an in-house lawyer, preferably with experience of lease law or commercial contracts. Experience within privacy law is a plus.

The candidate should have excellent communication skills in English. Proficiency in Swedish, Norwegian or Danish is a must. Experience from an international company and familiarity with the legal framework in the Nordic countries is advantageous.

You should have a curious mindset to be prepared to participate in a wide range of legal questions and do legal research in new areas as required from time to time.
